Water damage Denver people got a few minutes for you today. Ride with me for the next 10 minutes or so and pretty sure it’s a long shot here, but uh, you just never know. We, uh, we are told in the Bible to ask and you shall receive. So that’s the, that’s the name of today’s big foot podcast of gold. We um, you know, we do a lot of mold projects. We do a lot of water damage, Denver projects, as everybody knows. That’s what we talk about probably nine out of 10 times on these little podcasts we talk about water damage Denver water damage, Denver, it’s, it’s our, it’s our bread and butter. It’s kind of what most companies in the, the restoration industry focus on is water damage and getting it mitigated, remediated, cleaned up, dry it out, rebuilt, get everybody back to normal. Very, very necessary, very, very legit service to offer.

As you probably know, we also offer smoke and fire rescue, restorative services and um, yeah, that’s pretty, pretty self explanatory. Um, you know, a lot of people don’t realize what, what smoke can do. If you have something smolder on the stove, if you, you know, cooks, you know, put something on the stove and cook it dry. And, um, I remember when I was a little kid, uh, we had this little gel packet thing that if you snapped a little metal disc inside, there would be a chemical reaction and it would get real hot and you could put it on your back, kind of like a, a medicinal type deal, make your back feel better, put that moist heat on there. Um, and, but so it was, you were usable, right? So we, um, we would do it, we’d use it, and then the way that it worked is that you would boil a pot of water and stick, this wasn’t a bag, but it was like this, I dunno, kind of intentionally shaped plastic molding thing that, you know, probably fit into a little cloth deal or whatever.

So you could put it on your skin, not bring yourself, but um, when you boiled it for a certain amount of time, it would return back to its liquid state. And then you could, like I said, there’d be that floating metal disc in there that you could snap and it would do the same thing and you could reuse it over and over again. Well, one night we used it and put it in the pot of boiling water to do the typical thing. And I don’t remember the specifics, but I knew, do you know that we went to bed without taking it off of the stove and the water boiled dry and that plastic started to smoke and smaller and all that sort of stuff. And you talk about like burning plastic that, you know, seeps into household materials. That’s a tough smell to get rid of, you know, gets into the curtains.

It gets into, you know, really every single crevice and every, just about every single poorest material that you can imagine. And it can be an absolute nightmare to get that smell and that damage. We didn’t have any like [inaudible] necessarily or anything to clean up like that, but I do know that the smell was incredibly dissatisfying and I have no clue. I was too young to know anything about how my parents handled that, but, um, it wasn’t ideal. So that’s that. But the, you know, kind of that last service that we offer besides water damage Denver, uh, smoke, Mo, uh, smoke and fire is mold. And what I want to ask today, if you happen to be listening and you know, of an indoor environmentalist, someone that tests for from mold, I would appreciate an introduction. We used to work exclusively with the gentleman that has now exited that space and gone back to work in another industry and we really miss that relationship.

Number one, he gave us a ton of work he would pass along his clients that he had ’em tested for and they needed immediate remediation when it came to, you know, their specific situation. But even more importantly than that, he just did amazing work and we really, really trusted him for his professionalism and knew that he wouldn’t, you know, ever lead us wrong or the customer wrong and that we would never have to question anything about how he conducted himself or his test. And that’s something that’s huge. You know, you just, you can’t just outsource everything like that to any old company and just think, Oh, this is going to be fine. It’s going to be done on the up and up and we can rely on this. Just like with every industry. Um, there’s quite a bit of fluctuation with respect to how, um, companies or individuals conduct themselves and conduct their business and give you the results that you really need to have to be super duper accurate. So why are we like this guy and why we enjoyed working with him so much is number one, he always answered the phone. Um, he always would take our phone call and kinda chat with us about, um, whatever, whatever the question was or whatever the topic was. Um,

Water Damage Denver | What An Environmentalist Does

incredibly sharp, super knowledgeable, just knew his stuff frontwards and backwards. And when it comes to, uh, just the, that heightened seriousness of growth and mold in a home or workspace, um, it’s just nice to deal with somebody that’s, you know, in most cases seen or seen it all or done at all, experienced it at all. You know, not to say that folks newer to the industry can’t do great work, but with anything, it takes some time to get the street smarts under your belt and literally have experience with, uh, different types of situations and materials and water source or moisture sources, um, writing protocol, writing, you know, making maybe screwing up on writing protocol a time or two and learning and adjusting that way. So he was all those things. He was incredibly knowledgeable, but he was very specific when it came to the protocol that he wrote. And that’s, that’s, you know, a huge benefit of an indoor, an environmentalist too when they test for and find mold. They also, um, at least I think they do know that every single one does, but they present a plan of action, um, that they present to the homeowner and you know, at the disposal of, uh, the water damage Denver company or the remediation company or restoration company that comes in to perform the work, they ride out basically step by step instructions of how they want everything done and handled. And

literally, you know, in the amount of time that we worked with him, I may be had two questions, um, as far as how he wrote his book protocol on, you know, okay, I need clarification on this, or why would you want that? Or maybe I have a little bit of a disagreement here, let’s talk about it. But that was it. Other than that, I would read through most reports and renderings and I would say, yep, that makes sense. Got it, understand it, let’s do it. And so since he’s left that job, shut down his company and decided to go in a different way, we’ve dealt with a couple companies and they’ve been, they’ve been pretty good. But, um, you know, definitely right off the bat I’ve had questions and kind of thoughts and not really confusion, but just needed, you know, to spend some time out of my day getting clarification on exactly why they’d be calling this method or what something like that.

Just why are we doing this? What’s the point of this? So not that that’s an issue or not that that’s not something we can deal with and not that we won’t continue to deal with. Those companies had been, like I said, they’d been just fine. Um, but you know, we, we don’t just want one or two companies that we can reach out to because you know, when, when we run into a situation that needs to be tested, it needs to have an expert in that field go out and do their thing. We need them ASAP. We don’t need to schedule for a week from now. We need them available as soon as possible and we understand that not everybody’s available. You know, at our Beck and call, we wouldn’t expect that, but we would like to have a good handful of contractors so to speak, of individuals that we could reach out to and just kind of go down the list and if one person isn’t available, then we’ll go to number two.

And then number two is in rail. We’ll go to number three and just get the client taken care of it in as timely of a manner as possible would be helpful for us and for them. In addition though, um, just that ability to digest, um, just about everything that they go into because they’ve either dealt with something similar or exact before and have a very reactive and decisive plan of action, be able to write that protocol. Super sharp, super clean. And the great thing about that for us is that all we do is follow those exact steps. We can do that, no problem saying, okay, this is what we’ve been told to do. We will do exactly this. And once we’ve completed those steps, everything that’s been included in that report, we have that individual back out to do a post test. And that will either tell us if though if the spore counts are down enough to where it can be cleared or if they haven’t for some reason what needs to be done in addition to what has been done already.

And sometimes it’s just as simple as doing another HEPA vacuuming, uh, of the structure or the content or whatever. Sometimes it’s a little bit more involved. Maybe sometimes it’s even a little bit more like, okay, we’re going to have to get a little more invasive, something like that. But, uh, in any case, we, we desperately, uh, would love that introduction to all the quality indoor environmentalist’s you have. We will not turn any numbers or any names away. Um, we just would love to be in touch with those people and to have the potential to create a relationship with him. So, um, it just seemed to work so well with this individual and we’ve met some great companies, um, since, but we need to have more in our back pocket to be able to call on, like I said, so we can get folks taking care of ASAP if they do have a situation on their hands. So I’m getting kind of a long shot, kind of a kind of a slim chance, but just never know. Maybe you’re listening to this right now and you are this person, so if you are, give us a call, seven two zero five, seven, five foot, we would love to speak to you and God forbid you ever have a need for our Water Damage Denver, fire damage, smoke damage, or mold damage service. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will talk to soon until then. Stay safe.
