We’d like to go over fire damage, um, similar to water damage Denver in what to expect when you have a fire within the home and how big foot restoration can help you out. Uh, many things can occur during a fire within the house. Um, it can be as simple as um, a candle that, that burned and, uh, actually burned through and burned on the floor and you, you simply have some small smoke damage or any, something like that. Um, or it can be something severe that half the house houses burned down or anything. There’s something catastrophic like that. So, um, the fire damage can be simply as is smoke or it can be a severe structural fire. Um, and how big foot restoration can help you on, on mitigating this, um, issue that you’ve had or this, uh, fire loss, um, within the home.

Um, now sometimes with the fire damage you can also have water damage Denver within the house. Um, whether it’s the fireman has a, you know, using their hoses to spray sometimes, um, homeowners, you know, kind of panic and may use their own garden hose and stuff like that. So you can have some water damage Denver within the house. So that’s generally when you do have a fire in, we’re on the location quickly after the fire, we will mitigate, it can be both a water damage Denver mitigation as well as a fire mitigation, um, uh, issue that we will can address. Um, there, the first thing we would address would be the water damage Denver issue and make sure things are dried out first. Um, water can certainly cause some severe damage. Um, smoke fire, you generally have a little bit of time before a major damage can start occurring.

But with water damage Denver you have to address that pretty immediately and make sure things are dried out. So, so whether it’s a fireman that had used guard or used their hose or a homeowner, um, we’ve seen people use their sink and in just gotten buckets of water in and put out a fire, whatever it takes, obviously. Um, during a time like that, you’re not thinking about what damages am I causing if I use this water. But you just do whatever you can to try and make sure the water, the fire is actually put out using water, um, to put out that fire or smoke or anything like that. So we’ve seen it all. I’m with big foot. Um, we understand, uh, whether it’s the smoking issue or um, smoke along with water damage Denver issue, we can take care of both of those. But like I said, we first address the water damage issue.

Um, so after you had ’em I’ll cover a few if it’s minimal, if it’s just smoke damage and what we do and what big foot restoration can do for you and make sure we get you back to the pre loss condition. So, um, smoke, whether you’re cooking on a, on the kitchen, on the stove there and you, and you totally forgot something was on the stove and you had some, um, we’ve had people just start cooking and then forget some things on the stove and they go to the store and, and uh, the water evaporates and what’s in the pot starts to smoke and burn. And so that can affect, so that’s usually a protein fire or something like that. And that has, um, there’s different things depending on what’s burning, whether it’s from, from food, from protein or plastics, different thing like that. Plastics generally cause the most damage as far as how far soot and smoke travels.

A protein has its own issues with odor and things of that sort. So, um, so this, the first primarily one or small one is just smoke damage. So let’s say nothing structurally gets burned down, no walls, no content, anything like that. But we leave something on, on the stove. We’ve had clients leave. Um, there may be they’re boiling, uh, their, their baby bottles, cleaning them out, and they boil them and they forget in the water evaporates. And now the plastic containers of the, of the baby bottles burn in that, um, that plastic just burns, um, throughout the, the area there. So I’m similar to a water damage Denver, uh, we first come in and assess how far did the smoke travel. Um, more times than not it is limited to a part of the house. So whether it’s the kitchen, um, primarily just the kitchen, what we do is we assess how far that goes.

So we have a specialized training to determine, um, where the smoke ended in, in where it began. And so we kind of dry out a perimeter and we work towards the fire that way. So, um, when our technicians come out after you’ve had a, uh, a, a fire, we’ll assess where it began, how far it went. Sometimes it, it, you may be in a, in a condo in it and it affected the whole condo. So we will make those assessments initially. Um, from there we then can um, give you similar to the water damage Denver assessment. Is it worth filing an insurance claim and going through your insurance company? We’ve been doing this long enough to know generally what our costs will be in. So if that’s the case, um, we will let you know, um, whether you have a 1000 or $5,000 deductible or 500, we’ll let you know.

Yes, it’s worth, it’s going to be several thousand to mitigate your fire. Um, or no, it’s, it’s, it’s pretty minimal. It’s not worth even calling your insurance company and letting them know. Um, because once again, like I discussed in or like we discussed in the water damage Denver, um, area in what, what to expect when you do have a water loss. I’m just making that phone call. Can put a, can put a mark or a tag on your, your policy that you did have an issue within the home. So, even though you may not file that claim, they do make a note that you inquired about it in that, uh, you may have had a smoke damage within the house. So we want to only call the insurance company when we absolutely have to. Um, and we were pretty confident that we’re going to then go forward with an insurance claim.

So once we make the assessment, we discuss pricing, whether the call or not, we’ll get you to sign off on some, some work authorization paperwork, giving us authorization to work within your home. Um, similar to the water damage Denver, um, paperwork. Uh, this one is designed for fires only, fire smoke damage mitigation works. So we then can work within the house or you’re giving us authorization to work within your home. So from there, um, we will give you a complete, um, scope of the work. So we will discuss. This is the damage here is we will lay out the scope of what we need to do. So whether it’s, it’s minimal, um, we simply need to, um, use air scrubbers to purify the air. We’re going to come in and truly use, um, manpower to clean every square inch of what was affected from smoke.

Um, we’re very detailed, detail oriented, so that is key within big foot restoration. You need to be detail, detail oriented because smoke travels everywhere and gets in every nook and cranny. And so if you’re not detail oriented, um, the smoke smell will stay there. So our people are very well trained. I’m certified in how in doing is thorough as job as possible to ensure that every square inch of from the content to structure, cabinets, ceilings, walls, floors behind things, everything is cleaned because if you don’t, um, that smoke odor lingers and then you have an issue. So, um, we pride ourselves on ensuring that everything gets done. Every square inch gets cleaned. Um, so we will then,

once we gave you that scope of the work and we kind of go over what has to get done there. Um, so hopefully it’s something minor, but sometimes we’re not that lucky. Instructural gets damaged as well. So, um, we’ve had issues where, you know, wiring caught fire, you know, somebody’s not home and it burns 25% of the house. So if that’s the case, that’s, you know, a severe, that’s usually our cutoff point is 25%, which means you have to then, um, leave the property, move to a hotel. Um, we’ll certainly discuss all the options that you are entitled to a when that occurs. But usually at 25%, we want you to, to vacate the property. Um, if 25% or more of the home is, is affected by, um, structurally damaged. So if that’s the case, more times than not, what we do is, is pack out the items that are affected, uh, within the home, the content of the home, move all of those offsite, um, to our warehouse.

Um, and everything is cleaned there. So your items will be inventoried. Everything we take, you’ll know what was removed from the home. Um, we use an inventory system that scans and is notarized and you will be given a list of everything that was removed from the property. So once these items are inventoried or once we go through it, they will fall into three classification. So one will be these items are damaged without, um, any repair can be done to them so they will have to be replaced. Um, generally those are the items that may necessarily, or where the fire has occurred. So whether you had a candle that burned onto a table that then caught fire, um, most things around the fire or damaged to the point that they cannot be repaired. So that’s one classification. So items that will not be repaired. The second classification will be these items are damaged.

We believe we can repair them, but we’re not 100% sure. And so that is a category two that we’re classification to that we will put things in. So we will attempt and that’s what we are hired to do or attempt to clean. But some things look like we were able to clean them and they just don’t clean up as well as we would like until they will have to be replaced. Some items we believe we can, can try and clean them and they actually do clean up well and they are restored back to the pre loss condition. Um, so we use pre loss condition, uh, as a term of that is everything we’re trying to clean all content, we’re trying to clean and they must get back to this pre loss condition. So if they cannot be brought back to the pre loss condition then then they are replaced.

Um, and the last classification or things that we know we can clean and they will clean fine and there’ll be restored back to the pre loss condition. So once again to cover that, um, quickly will be things that will be replaced, things that can be attempted to be cleaned but possibly replaced and things that can absolutely be cleaned and restored. So once we remove all content out to a second to our warehouse, generally there’ll be removed back to our warehouse in a controlled environment. Um, and then the mitigation will begin at our facility, at our warehouse. So then the reconstruction will be done at the house. So we then, um, we’ll either work with a contractor, we will do the reconstruction ourselves or, um, you can hire a third party construction company to rebuild the House that was damaged. So, um, generally when you have something that has sustained, uh, up to 25% or more, um, generally the rest of the house is damaged to the point that has to be cleaned.

So similar to what was discussed earlier as far as everything needing to be cleaned every square inch. So once again, we pride ourselves a big foot restoration, prides ourselves on cleaning every square inch. We do that again, structurally. Um, if there was a fire on at least 25%. So everything from walls, ceilings, lights, a doorframe, doors, glass, everything is cleaned. Um, very detailed. It cause if you don’t do this, odor lingers in the house. So we’re trained, we’re really, really good at doing a detail oriented cleaning of the home to ensure that when we move everything back, it’s back to brand new. So, um, generally we will clean everything. More Times than not, everything will get a fresh coat of paint on walls, on selling, everything like that. Carpet generally that can either be cleaned or replace more times than not that I’m similar to the water damage Denver where we’re dealing with classifications of one, two and three.

Um, fire can damaged carpet to the point to obviously that has to be replaced. So, uh, more times than not you’ll get new carpet as well. But, um, we will make recommendations to the insurance company. Um, they will, similar to the water damage Denver, they’ll take what we say. Um, but more times than not with the water with, with a fire damage, um, you’ll have somebody come out and take a look, we’ll discuss with them, um, what we recommend and then they will make a determination on that. We, uh, we certainly don’t have, um, authority to do things without their approval. So, um, similar. You’re our client and they’re our client. Um, but our main goal is to get things back to the pre loss condition and we were certainly really good at doing that. So we want to remove everything out to structure. Is cleaned, rebuilt, everything is painted.

It’s um, back to the pre loss condition. All your items, all the content would be cleaned, restored at our facility. Um, everything is boxed up that is small enough to be boxed. We will then move everything back to the house. Um, boxes, all the furniture, everything that, um, can be restored will be restored. You’ll get a list of everything that was restored. It will get lists of everything that was attempted to be restored and could not, um, that will fall under a damage category. And then you’ll have the damage lists, things that we agreed on early on that there’s no possible way that we can restore these items so you’ll get everything moved back, um, and then hopefully get back to somewhat of a normal normal life again. Um, everything smelling, looking good, um, is cleaned and restored. So with big foot restoration, we’re able to do that. Um, we feel very confident in our abilities to do that and make sure that nobody wants to obviously deal with any type of fire damage. Nobody wants to deal with any type of water damage, Denver issues. Um, but rest assure that big foot restoration can, um, take care of your, your issues and get you back to, to the way you were before any of the loss before the fire damage, before the water damage Denver occurred.
